Juvenile's Daughter Killed, Funeral Service Planning


17-year-old, Anthony Terrell, Jr. was arrested for shooting Jelani, Juvenile's daughter as well as her mother, Joy and Micaiah Deleston. Their bodies were found Feb 28th and Anthony confessed soon after.

A preliminary hearing for Terrell is set for next week in Gwinnett County Superior Court, prosecutor Danny Porter said. Because of Terrell's age, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty. Terrell faces a maximum of life in prison for each of the three charges.

The funeral for Joy Deleston and her two daughters is set to take place this week in South Carolina. Our hearts go out to Juvenile and his family.

Diddy's Gets Shine for "A Raisin In The Sun


Yea.... I didn't believe it either, but from what I've heard from the reviews, Diddy didn't do that bad. From forgetting his lines the first night on Broadway, Diddy has shown much improvement.
Don't believe me, check the reviews...

USA Today: "...the movie would not have been made without Combs and would not work as well without him."

Andre 3000 in "The Shield" Series Finale


Keep your eyes peeled for Andre 3000 in The Shield season finale. The seventh and final season of The Shield will begin this summer. In the finale Andre will be playing a guy running for mayor. Sounds interesting. I'm a have to check that out.

J. Lo's Twins Finally Born


So J. Lo's finally had her twins, Max and Emme. She gave birth to them early Friday about 2 weeks ago (Yea, I'm late.) in Long Island. They kept the hospital location on hush, though. Don't know why... that hospital would get promo all day... The 5-pound, 7-ounce girl arrived first, followed by her 6-pound brother, Max minutes later.

My apologies for the late post, I just got back from seein' Barack Obama at a rally where I'm at, AND Chelsea Clinton came to my school so I had to dwell in some politics today, but nevertheless Hump Day is here and here are the Exclusives.

Introducing: O'neal McknightBe prepared 'cause I am going to attempt and break this song multiple times, so this joint will be posted multiple times. But don't worry, the track is a banger! He goes by the name of O'neal Mcknight and has been cosigned by the who's who in the music industry. Diddy, Jermaine, Quincy Jones, Swizz, Russel Simmons, etc all luv this joint and luv his sound. The track in discussion is called Check Your Coat, and yes as usual its buzzing out there in NYC and slowly but steadily spreading. The sound? Unlike anything right now. Funky, feel-good, club song, that you can't help but dance or try to dance to. Produced by DJ Cassidy, a top DJ for all those people I just named dropped, and Dub-L, the song is an infectious blend of 80s synths and heavy drum-laced sounds of the 90s. Yes another throwback ode to the 80s/90s joint I know but this joint is good. I can't even explain it anymore, just listen. He just recently signed to Motown and is re shooting is low budget video with Little X, tons of cameos, including Christopher Lloyd of Back To The Future fame and the car, the Deleron. Tony Yayo Outta TroubleRemember those charges Tony got for allegedly beating up one of Game's manager's kids well all charges have been dropped. But that don't mean he innocent, the lesser charges are a result of him agreeing to a plead deal. Instead of facing criminal charges YaYo just has to do community service. I think he lucked out. If he really did beat on the kid, he need to be in trouble.

Lil Wayne arrested, AGAIN!ABC News reports:

Rapper Lil Wayne has been arrested in Yuma County, Ariz., on drug charges, law enforcement sources told ABC News. The rapper, 25, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was traveling in his tour bus near Dateland, Ariz., Tuesday, when it was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 8. Around 11:30 p.m. a Border Patrol dog signaled the possible presence of drugs, and the bus was directed to a secondary inspection lane, where the bus was consensually searched. After a search by the Border Patrol canine, agents reported finding 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Agents also found $22,000 in cash on the bus.

Now, I know you's a rapstar, and think you's a rockstar, but damn it Weezy, have some sense. I was just tellin' myself how I was actually getting excited about Carter III droppin' next month but now with this who knows what'll happen. We'll keep you posted.

Diddy...nah call me Sean JohnThe man who forever entertains me announced today that he is thinkin' about changing is name, again. Rap mogul, formerly known as Sean Combs, then Puff Daddy, then P. Diddy, then Diddy is thinkin' about changin' his name to Sean John, the same name as his clothing line. Diddy, I mean Sean was quoted as sayin' he evolves over time and so his name changes with the evolution...whatever, all I know is I am gonna watch his new MTB show premiering some time soon.

Busta Rhymes escapes jail timeI don't know how he did it, but he did. Busta Rhymes, faced with two counts of assault, a DUI and driving with a suspended license, managed to plead down all the charges this morning. Busta will now serve three concurrent years of probation, ten days of community service and pay a $750 fine. Back in July, the rapper rejected a plea deal that would have put him in jail for one year. Whoever this man lawyer is, is the s**t. T.I. and Lil Wayne need to holla at that man. Keep in mind 3 or 4 white celebrites have just finsihed jail sentences for DUI charges, add that with TWO counts of assault I was for sure my homey Busta was goin to Jail. Apparently not, and I'm glad, now hopefully he'll act right and get back to the music.

Usher's bro, J Lac signs publishing deal with EMI

Usher's bro is stepping out on his own and just signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing. James Lack, or JLack as he goes by has been making beats ever since his big bro got major and finally cracked the scene with Lloyd's club hit "Get It Shawty". Yeah, I ain't know he that beat either, well that joint and presumeably others were good enough for him to sign a deal and now he should be own his way. He just got work on his intro, his "This is a J Lac track, man" is not what that is. Go back n peep that Lloyd beat ya dig.

Lupe Fiasco is the coolest

Lupe Fiasco is this close to dropping his sophmore album, and let me tell ya I can't wait. Lupe is a breath of fresh air and if you ain't heard his joint Superstar yet then your a clown. Nah, not really but go peep that joint and the video Lupe making good music right now. We got the title track to his album "The Cool" and this joint is even more quality music. Turn up your volume and let us know what you think.

The network that gives everybody a show has called up Snoop to have a crack at his own family-sitcom/reality show. Snoop premired his "Fatherhood" show this past Sunday on E! and although I ain't catch it, I heard it's pretty funny. Similar to Run's House, wish is off the chian by the way, but a lil more, I dunno pimped out? Either way I just wanna see how his kids be actin' w/ a daddy like that so you know I'm tuning in. I heard Ghostface actually got a part in the new Ironman movie comin' out soon... I forget who's gonna play the infamous Tony Stark, but it won't be Ghostface, lol. Anyway, I heard he finished his part for the movie, and i think it's gonna be pretty hot...

Ne-Yo - Kicked off R. Kelly's "Double Up" Tour!


I don't know exactly what happened, but apparently Ne-Yo is supposed to keep the exact reason of why he got kicked off a secret... Rumors were that Kells wanted 7 dressing rooms for himself, and kinda left Ne-Yo without one... Other sources claim because Ne-Yo kept questioning R. Kelly's authority... Regardless, Ne-Yo is officially off the tour, and is now trying to do his own for his fans...

It SO sounds like the "Best of Both Worlds" tour with Jay-Z and y'all saw how that fizzled... Ne-Yo says he respect R. Kelly's music, but NOT R. Kelly as a man! That's pretty bold, but after that whole trial case with Kelly, among other things, I don't blame him.

P. Diddy - Finally Proposing to Kim Porter?!


So, you think Diddy has finally come to his senses after having his 6th child named Chance... That's just crazy... After his 3rd baby mama, he realizes he needs to marry someone... Rumor has it, Diddy is planning a to make a SPECTACULAR proposal any day now.

Diddy has supposedly already sent out invitations. There's going to be celebrities, camera crews, the whole sha-bang. If this is the case, Congrats to Diddy... finally.

Yea... Nas couldn't have said it better.. Hip-Hop is dead... lol... Nah, not really, it's gonna be on and popping in November. After I heard people who've heard tracks off the album, talking about hot it has a "Blueprint" feel, I'm really thinking it's gonna be hot.

JD - Greatest Hits Album?!

I heard from my boy, "O" that JD is putting out a Greatest Hits album... I told him that's cool... Diddy has put out like 3 Greatest Hits albums... Then he told me it was gonna be just HIS own hits, and Not So So Def... At that point I was ready to fall out... lol.

Then I found out Diddy produced like 70% of Jay's American Gangster album. Then JD did some tracks, along with Pharell evidently... Diddy fits perfect since Diddy produced BIG's "Ready to Die" album, which was an official classic. Very much so a movie, from beginning to end.

We'll see out on that later, I guess. When I'm able to actually get some new "hip-hop news" and maybe get to post on MY computer, we'll get some real posts like usual...

P.S. - Is anyone mad that Diddy has now officially admitted to having 6 kids, without a ring on that finger... I'm a need Diddy to man up, for real. Marry one of them chicks. Child support this year is a gonna put a real whole in that million dollar wallet of his...

Elephant Man - Stampeded On Diddy?!


A WHILE AGO (like last year), Diddy had signed Elephant Man... Don't know exactly why, but I guess he thought he was a good reggae artist... or a good tax write-off. :-p Rumor has it, Elephant Man and his crew came to his office, and assaulted him over some money...(or lack thereof..)

Ironically, he's got a single with production from Swizz Beatz called "Let's Get Physical". I'll figure it out, probably later in the week.

Making The Band 4 - Diddy's Official Group!


Diddy has FINALLY made his group. It now consists of Robert, Willie, Qwanell, Big Mike, and Brian A. Diddy gave Donnie a solo deal. This is gonna be interesting. Let's hope this group has better luck than the rest of his groups. None of his other groups have gone platinum yet...

Somebody doin' good in the hood! David Banner provided a bus, food, t-shirts and 80 tickets to Six Flags! It's all for the children's program he has been sponsoring since 2005 in Mississippi.

Background Info:
Stewpot Neighborhood Children's program offers an after-school program and summer camp to at-risk youth from Mississippi. The program focuses on providing children safe havens after school and during the summer, offers tutoring, self-esteem building and positive role models.

Russell Simmons - Vick Got Hit!


Russell Simmons and Al Sharpton sent a joint letter condemning dog-fighting to Michael Vick’s corporate sponsors which includes Nike, Rawlings, Hasbro, Coca-Cola, Easton Sports, and Kraft. After the news, Nike announced that it was suspending the release of th eNike Air Zoom Vick V football shoe. It was scheduled for a late August release.

50 Cent - Sues for Being Shot... Online!


50 Cent filed a lawsuit against an internet advertising firm, seeking at least $1 million dollars in damages over a "Shoot The Rapper" ad that appeared on various Internet sites, primarily on Myspace.

50 is suing Traffix Inc., the company that created the advertisement featuring a caricature of 50 Cent smiling (with those buck teeth, lol) that offered fans the chance to click their mouses and "shoot the rapper."

Disclaimer: 50, Don't sue me, bro. I ain't got the cake for that yet. :-p

Diddy - More Making The Band Drama!


Look out for a controversial episode of Making the Band 4. It will feature the incident between Sean "Diddy" Combs and choreographer, Laurie Ann Gibson. During the April 25 taping for the show, Combs, Gibson and Michael Bivens were involved in a heated argument.

Gibson filed a complaint with NYC police in May, claiming Bivens grabbed her during the argument, while Combs threatened her with a chair. Also during the episode, two more guys leave thecast, 1 dude walks out and a favorite on the show gets kicked out as well. The episode airs July 23 on MTV.

Kim Porter - Child Support Recipient of....


$100k a month! Like I mentioned the other day, Didd split with his long term girlfriend, Kim Porter. Now let's do the math folks.... 100K a month equivilates to.... $1.2 million a year!

His last baby-mama, Misa Hylton-Brim, gets $30,000 a month in child support for their son, Justin. But Porter, who stuck with Diddy on and off for 10 years, (EVEN during the whole J. Lo ordeal), has three children with him: Christian, 10, and 7-month-old twins D’Lila Star and Jesse James.

Close friends of Combs also claim that Combs’ wallet is under even more pressure, because he had no pre- or post-nuptial agreement with Porter, who packed her bags two weeks ago and bought a house for herself and her children in Beverly Hills - with Combs’ money, of course.

Diddy - Split With Kim Porter


According to People Magazine, Diddy and Kim Porter have officially announced their split.

"It’s over between Sean “Diddy” Combs and his girlfriend of 10 years, Kim Porter, a rep for Combs confirms to PEOPLE. A source close to Porter says she has moved out of the apartment she shared with Combs, and into a new home in Los Angeles with her children."

These are some quotes from a previous Essence magazine interview:

Diddy:

I know she deserves to get married, but I’m just not ready,” he said. “It’s not a reflection on how much I love Kim. It’s that I’m just learning how to be a good boyfriend. When I’m finished with this step, I’ll move on to the next.”

Kim Porter:

“He could be a little more attentive to his family, but I understand who he is and what that requires of him. He’s in a business where he wants to be the best, and he wants to make sure his family has the best.”

My View: Not a good look... If you have been on and off with her for 10 years, a child by her, and new twin baby girls with her as well and you say something like that... Not a good luck... but that's just me.

Matthew Knowles - Hip-Hop Toys


You know, the more I hear about Beyonce's father, the more I see him as a real hustler. From managing his daughter's multiplatinum group (10 million albums sold worldwide), to having his own label, putting out his own version of Kidz Bop, he gives Jay-Z a run for his money.

Mathew Knowles has partnered with Planet Toys to launch Baby Jamz, the first-ever hip-hop/rhythm-inspired pre-school toy line. It is said that Solange’s son, Juelz helped inspire the toy line.

“Many children love music and dancing to hip-hop, so we have creatively combined great toys with the hip-hop versions of popular nursery rhymes. My grandson, Juelz, was the inspiration for this idea and I am especially excited that most of the nursery rhymes are sung by my daughter, Solange.”

Hot Ghetto Mess - Messin' Up Advertising Money

At least two companies have pulled advertisements from BET's new show, ``Hot Ghetto Mess.'' Critics say the show puts black stereotypes on display, but the network claims it "a blend of tough love and social commentary.''

State Farm Insurance and Home Depot asked BET to drop their ads from the series. However, other advertisers remain in place and there are no plans to change the series at this point, BET said Tuesday.

"HGM combines viewer-submitted home videos and BET-produced man-on-the-street interviews that the channel said in a release are intended to challenge and inspire viewers to improve themselves and their communities.''

The six-episode series is hosted by comedian Charlie Murphy. It's based on a Web site that features photos of men and women, mostly black, with extreme hairstyles and clothing typically linked to hip-hop fashion.

Hotghettomess.com was created by Jam Donaldson, a black lawyer who's also an executive producer on the BET show, the Hollywood Reporter said.
