Usher - Wedding on Hold


This Usher marriage situation gets more complex as time goes by. First, my boy, Future was talkin' about Tameka on some kinda "operation" tip, then her alledged past with a drug dealer. Now it seems it's the baby she's carrying that is holding up the wedding... I'd post it, but I don't want to post another article, if it wasn't confirmed as true. This one makes more sense and less scandalous, though. Alot of pressure with the pregnancy, etc.

Conspiracy Story: They never planned on getting married... The marriage idea is just for hype... who knows?

Dr. Dre - Detox in '08?


Another tidbit I found out today, that's gettin' me riled... Dr. Dre has been promising Detox since what, 2003? 4 years later, still no album and now it's being pushed back to next suumer. Hundreds of songs he's done for this album, and one isn't done yet... So much depth in this topic, i can't even get into tonight...

Eminem - New Album? And Baby?


Speaking of Dre, Eminem may be putting out a new album... Supposedly, Akon and T.I. are gonna be on the album. Also, rumors goin around that him and Kim may be having another kid... Only time will tell. (9 months to be exact) :-p

Usher - Tameka's Skeletons


Alright. A lil' more light into Usher's former fiance's past... I'll let the Enquirer give you da scoop:

"Usher’s new bride, Tameka Foster, has a shocking criminal past that she has kept secret from the R&B singer, The Enquirer learned.

Tameka is an ex-con whose first lover was gunned down in a drug-related execution-style shooting.

“Poor Usher has no idea who he’s marrying,” Temeka’s half sister Valencia Foster told The Enquirer. “He’s a wonderful guy- but Tameka is giving him a big-time snow job.”

The scene for deception was set at a “getting to know the in-laws” dinner in Tameka’s hometown of Oakland, Calif., on July 7 as the couple finalized plans for a July 28 wedding.

Valencia, 49, explained that Usher led a prayer before dinner, then turned to her and said: “’You know all the family secrets- tell me about them.’ Before I could say a word, Tameka kicked me so hard under the table she almost put a hole in my leg,” Valencia said.

“Then she pulled me aside and whispered: ‘Don’t tell him anything.’”

Tameka, fleeing from a troubled home life, moved in with Valencia when she was 11. “She arrived with $14 in food stamps in her purse,” recalled Valencia. “She turned out to be a nightmare.”

By 14, she had become involved with a married drug dealer five years older than her, Valencia says.

“I banned him from the house – but four years later she was pregnant with his baby when his car was ambushed and he was riddled with bullets. Tameka missed being with him in the car by minutes.”

Court Records show that Tameka has been arrested twice. In 1991, she served 20 days in the Los Angeles County Jail for petty theft and was placed on probation for two years. Records indicate she had previously served jail time. An earlier arrest in Alameda County, Calif., involved “some kind of welfare fraud, and she was sentenced to perform community service,” said Valencia.

Tameka, Usher’s former wardrobe stylist, has three children and is expecting the singer’s baby in the fall. Usher, 28, recently shocked fans by reportedly firing his manager mother and replacing her with Tameka.

The 36-year-old bride asked her father, John Foster, to give her away at the wedding in the Hampton’s, the tony New York enclave. But Tameka threatened to ban her mom from the ceremony- because she had lost her false teeth! “Tameka told her: ‘You’re not coming to my wedding without teeth,’” Valencia said. “I asked her why she didn’t buy her mother a new set, and she told me: ‘Let her get her own (bleeping) teeth- she didn’t take care of me when I was young.’”

Valencia says Tameka’s mom bought the new teeth herself- and she believes one day Usher will discover the truth about his new bride."

Jay-Z - Leaving For Columbia?!

Jay-Z might be leaving his President position at Def Jam, in order to join Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin at Columbia.

People ask, "Why would Jay-Z leave Def Jam if he's the President?"

One of the reasons might be because Jermaine Dupri is now running a Def Jam subdivision, Island Records Urban Music Group.

Another reason, Beyonce is signed to Columbia Records.

According to The New York Daily News, Jay-Z will also be leaving Island Def Jam owning his entire catalog.

Recently, there was also a rumor that Jay-Z and Beyonce were in negotiations with Apple's iTunes to create a digital record label. Well see about that as time progresses.

Chamillionaire - Road To Ultimate Victory

Chamillionaire is getting ready for his upcoming profanity-free album, Ultimate Victory. He is brushing off 50 remarks about him, though.

"Let him [Chamillionaire] go sell gospel records, if he's so f***in' righteous..." "I can write around the curses if I want to, but you can't tell me to write around the curses."

This is what Chamillionaire told AHH:

"There are way more interesting things to talk about, besides, beef and dissing people." "I'ma leave that to everybody else. There was a time were the Hip-Hop battle was cool, cause it was lyrical or whatever, but now, its stale, people used it as a gimmick."

Instead, Chamillionaire will use his album to express his opinions on a number of subject's, including Kobe Bryant, OJ, President Bush and Hurricane Katrina. He just shot a video for it. Watch out for it. Chamillionaire's hopes Ultimate Victory is due in stores September 18.

Ja Rule & Lil' Wayne - Both Hit With Gun Charges!


Talk about coincidence...

Lil' Wayne and Ja Rule were arrested July 23rd in NY in two separate incidents.
Ja Rule was stopped around 10:30 pm in Manhattan for speeding on West End Avenue.
Police searched the vehicle, they found a .40 caliber hand gun.

An hour later, Lil' Wayne was searched after police saw him and another associate smoking marijuana by a tour bus near 61st Street and Columbus Avenue. The arrest occurred shortly after Lil' Wayne's performance at the Beacon Theater.

Both rappers were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana.

P.S. - Coincidently, look out for their upcoming track, "Uh-Oh" on Ja's album, The Mirror.

My View: Uh-oh is right, lol.

Speaking of Lil' Wayne, Clipse had some choice things to say about the N.O. rapper. During an interview with Laced Magazine, they had this to say:

According to New York's Daily News, Suge and Kevin Connolly, aka E from Entourage, were play fighting during Lebron James' ESPY Awards after party. Suge reportedly bit E's finger!

50 Cent - Sues for Being Shot... Online!


50 Cent filed a lawsuit against an internet advertising firm, seeking at least $1 million dollars in damages over a "Shoot The Rapper" ad that appeared on various Internet sites, primarily on Myspace.

50 is suing Traffix Inc., the company that created the advertisement featuring a caricature of 50 Cent smiling (with those buck teeth, lol) that offered fans the chance to click their mouses and "shoot the rapper."

Diddy - More Making The Band Drama!


Look out for a controversial episode of Making the Band 4. It will feature the incident between Sean "Diddy" Combs and choreographer, Laurie Ann Gibson. During the April 25 taping for the show, Combs, Gibson and Michael Bivens were involved in a heated argument.

Gibson filed a complaint with NYC police in May, claiming Bivens grabbed her during the argument, while Combs threatened her with a chair. Also during the episode, two more guys leave thecast, 1 dude walks out and a favorite on the show gets kicked out as well. The episode airs July 23 on MTV.

Ciara & 50 Cent - 50 or Curtis?


So... Young Lloyd, T.I., Yung Joc and Ciara was on 106 & Park today to talk about their new ScreamFest '07 tour. Rocsi decided to keep Ciara on for a couple extra questions... Like her new video with 50.

Hot looking video all up on 50 Cent... Rocsi & Terrence had to ask about that as well as why she was sitting by him at the BET Awards and why she had "25?" on the back of her outfit. She had explained that on BET's Countdown of Great Dancers (correct me if I'm wrong) and they voted Ciara as number 25. She was kinda upset about it, so she wore that outfit.

ALSO, they asked Ciara if, on the phone, she calls 50 Cent, "50" or "Curtis"... She was kinda embarassed to answer. She said just stated that they were "close friends".

MY OPINION: They both have albums out or COMING out (50 pushed his album back to September). I figure it's just a publicity stunt. If not, I guess we'll find out soon, huh. ;-D

Well, there are rumors abound that the Imus Man aka Mr. Nappy Headed Hoe has a new job. According to EURweb, Imus is out at comedy clubs looking for Black female comics to join him in September when he is supposed to be coming back. I actually didn't plan on posting this article, but apparently it has snowballed since I've heard about it into a big discussion. This is what I understand so far. Remy was hanging out with her entourage and a close friend of hers was said to have stolen $3000 from her. After they get out of the club, her friend claims that Remy had shot her while trying to get into her car.

Remy has been taken into custody on attempted murder charges... The ACTUAL facts are still blurry. I'll keep you guys posted as this story progresses.

Plies - No Show


A Montgomery, Alabama concert promoter has filed a lawsuit against Plies for failing to perform at his venue earlier this month.

Patrick Monfiston of P Entertainment Promotions filed the suit in Circuit Court on Monday claiming Plies was a no-show for a July 8th concert. He also claimed the rapper made disparaging comments about him on a local radio station.

"Too many artists feel they can come in and do us (in Mont­gomery) however they want...."I'm going to show them they're wrong." Monfiston told the Montgomery Adver­tiser.

"If Plies attempts to perform any show here, I will have him arrested," Monfiston said. "He must fulfill the terms of this contract first."

Kim Porter - Child Support Recipient of....


$100k a month! Like I mentioned the other day, Didd split with his long term girlfriend, Kim Porter. Now let's do the math folks.... 100K a month equivilates to.... $1.2 million a year!

His last baby-mama, Misa Hylton-Brim, gets $30,000 a month in child support for their son, Justin. But Porter, who stuck with Diddy on and off for 10 years, (EVEN during the whole J. Lo ordeal), has three children with him: Christian, 10, and 7-month-old twins D’Lila Star and Jesse James.

Close friends of Combs also claim that Combs’ wallet is under even more pressure, because he had no pre- or post-nuptial agreement with Porter, who packed her bags two weeks ago and bought a house for herself and her children in Beverly Hills - with Combs’ money, of course.

Lil' Jon is gonna be crunk about this... The word "crunk" has officially been added to the Merriam-Webster's Dictionary. The word is one of 100 new words that will be included in the 2007 edition Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. "It's amazing that the word has become that popular," Lil' Jon told AHH.com. "We been saying 'crunk' in Atlanta [for] as long as I can remember. All I did was put it on a record and let the world know our lifestyle! We live to get crunk n the south and I guess Webster's dictionary recognized that and how big the music has been in the last 10 years."

Diddy - Split With Kim Porter


According to People Magazine, Diddy and Kim Porter have officially announced their split.

"It’s over between Sean “Diddy” Combs and his girlfriend of 10 years, Kim Porter, a rep for Combs confirms to PEOPLE. A source close to Porter says she has moved out of the apartment she shared with Combs, and into a new home in Los Angeles with her children."

These are some quotes from a previous Essence magazine interview:

Diddy:

I know she deserves to get married, but I’m just not ready,” he said. “It’s not a reflection on how much I love Kim. It’s that I’m just learning how to be a good boyfriend. When I’m finished with this step, I’ll move on to the next.”

Kim Porter:

“He could be a little more attentive to his family, but I understand who he is and what that requires of him. He’s in a business where he wants to be the best, and he wants to make sure his family has the best.”

My View: Not a good look... If you have been on and off with her for 10 years, a child by her, and new twin baby girls with her as well and you say something like that... Not a good luck... but that's just me.

Hot Ghetto Mess - Messin' Up Advertising Money

At least two companies have pulled advertisements from BET's new show, ``Hot Ghetto Mess.'' Critics say the show puts black stereotypes on display, but the network claims it "a blend of tough love and social commentary.''

State Farm Insurance and Home Depot asked BET to drop their ads from the series. However, other advertisers remain in place and there are no plans to change the series at this point, BET said Tuesday.

"HGM combines viewer-submitted home videos and BET-produced man-on-the-street interviews that the channel said in a release are intended to challenge and inspire viewers to improve themselves and their communities.''

The six-episode series is hosted by comedian Charlie Murphy. It's based on a Web site that features photos of men and women, mostly black, with extreme hairstyles and clothing typically linked to hip-hop fashion.

Former Roc-A-Fella rapper, Amil is finishing up her new sophomore album called "Amil Az Iz."

It was rumored that Amil had been working in JC Penny's or Macys in NYC. That is not the case, seeing that she currently lives in North Carolina. Her album is due in stores on D.O.E./Baby Grande Records.

Background Info:
Amil was once an artist on Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records. After a year or so without completing a follow-up album, she was later dropped from the label... (Side Note: Speaking of which, what happened to the Freeway album that was to be executive produced by Jay-Z and 50 Cent's in a joint venture?)

She appeared on a number of hit singles with the likes of Jay-Z & Memphis Bleek (Hey Papi) as well as LL Cool J (Fatty Girl).

Plies Goes P2P


Upcoming artist Plies, with hot single "Shawty" ft. T-Pain has become the first artist on Atlantic Records to ink a major deal involving P2P file trading services.

According to The New York Post, Sprint and Atlantic have with ArtistDirect’s Media Defender division to push 16 million Plies song files embedded with the Sprint logo on to peer to peer networks over a three-month period.

A substantial six figure deal will be split between Plies and his publishing company, Media Defender and Atlantic Records. The Sprint logo will be attached to the song files permanently and will appear with Plies’ name and song title on the screen of a desktop computer, iPod or cell phone, in addition to any digital music player.

Plies is a Fort Meyers, FL native and his debut album The Real Testament is set to release on August 7th through The Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/ Atlantic Records.

The album is said to explain Cassidy's new outlook on life, since recovering from his almost fatal car accident in October of 2006, when a truck swerved into oncoming traffic and struck the side of the SUV that he was passenger in.

Cassidy was in a brief coma and suffered a fractured skull and numerous broken bones in his face. Cassidy, 25, is currently on the And1 Mixtape tour, putting the finishing touches on B.A.R.S and giving 7.7.7 to his fans.

50 Cent - Amusement Park Fiasco

If you folks wanted to know the reason why 50 didn't spit the 1st verse of Amusement Park at The BET Awards last week, he gave an explanation @ 106 & Park.

The rapper showed up at "106" on Wednesday after the award show to explain what happened. "Everything doesn't quite happen the way you practice it," 50 said. "I was kinda hit by the aerialist and I was weebly wobbly coming down. 25 feet in the air man, you fall no one can help you with that. Then by the time you get down you try to regroup, you got the pyro going off, the music started, we're four bars into the song , I just didn't - I wasn't concentrating."

Wayne Brady is divorcing with his wife, Mandie Taketa Brady. Mandie filed for divorce this week. The couple have a 4 year-old daughter Maile.

TI - Goin' Gold

T.I.'s fifth album, T.I. vs. T.I.P. is reportedly on pace to being the highest selling rap album of the year.

The album is projected to sell over 500,000 copies by next week and will grab the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. The album features guest appearances from Jay-Z, Eminem, Wyclef Jean and Busta Rhymes.

How he got to put together his album... a wish list...

"I created a wish list of whoever I wanted to work with," explained T.I. "Jason Geter (T.I.'s Manager) and company, they went out, they made it known that this is who I wanted to work with and they were kind enough to respond with cooperation."

Uncle Luke's World


Uncle Luke is puttin' out his own reality show called "Luke's World".

"Viewers will see Campbell interact with his fiancé, who reminds the mogul/activist that his life revolves around more than running his National Youth Football League and his 16-year-old daughter, who is dealing with the pressure of being "Luke’s little girl."

Throughout Luke's World, viewers will witness Campbell playing golf at the 18-hole "East" golf course at the Country Club of Miami as well as wearing various hats, from auditioning girls for his next DVD to attending parent-teacher conferences for his son to having heart-to-heart talks with his daughter.

The show will also feature Campbell trying to steer his 13-year-old son away from the influence of his public persona."
