Busta Rhymes Made It

Busta IS Back, and is pulling out all of the spots. Always one to be different, Busta is late on this one and hooks up with Linkin Park for the single, "We Made It." The single is suppose to be the lead single for his upcoming album, Blessed, that is if the street single, "Don't Touch Me," doesn't grow bigger than this. Usher Teams With Beyonce AND Lil Wayne

Three of the top artists in the industry who have each crafted their niche in the game have hooked up for Usher's Make Love In The Club part 2. The song is less of a remix and more of a new song and I guess was created in order to generate more steam before Usher releases his album, finally. The track is hot, Beyonce outshines all of 'em as usual, and Lil Wayne sound like he saving a little too much for his Carter III album either way the track is hot and just shows the star power that Usher got.

R.Kelly's Hairbraider VideoWe finally get to see the chick who did this to his hair! J/k, but really. Kels next album will be called TP: 4th Quarter and is dropping in the summer. Should be a hot, like most of Kelly's album, but it always do seem when he put that Twelve Play name to it, it just elevate the status. Guess we'll have to see, 'til then enjoy the video.

Raheem & R. Kelly Serve Up The Customers

The joint was already hot when Raheem dropped it as a single now R. Kelly done put his touch to it on the Customer (remix). When you first hear the track it was already reminiscent of a R. Kelly track so it only makes sense for him to jump on the remix. Raheem is really one of the promising R&B cats that knows how to make good music. It definitely won't hurt for him to collab with R. Kels just as long as they keep it strictly musically. No hair, fashion, or girl, I mean women tips. HA.

Mariah Carey and Jay Z Are Both Saying Bye Bye To The GameI'm just playing. But they are both together on yet another remix to a Mariah Carey joint. Many of yall probably have not heard this joint yet, unless u done copped the album E=MC2, but either way the track has already been blessed by Jay-Z and has been hitting the airwaves. Pretty solid joint, but what do you think? P.S. Did yall hear that MC and Nick Cannon might be engaged? WTF? I didn't even know they were dating. Props to Nick Cannon, yall gotta stop hatin' on him 'cause obviously he's pulling em. From Christian Milian, to Victoria Secret model, to MC? That's a high ass batting average.

The Dream Needs Your LoveAlthough his album is banging, The Dream has been receiving TERRIBLE reviews for his segment on the Heart of the City Tour with Jay & Blige. City to city have been saying the Dream really ain't that good of singer, he can't move, etc. Despite all that, The Dream is pushing through and has just dropped his video for his third single, "I Love Your Girl" ft. label mate, Young Jeezy. This track is one of my favorites on the album, but definitely don't think it's gonna help ol boy push any more units. Maybe he's going for a European push. Either way, enjoy the video here.

Ying Yang Twins DropThe always animated duo of Ying Yang Twins are back doing what they do best with their new club song, "Drop." The song both similar and unlike any of their classic booty songs of the past is produced by Issac Hayes III, yeah the legendary Issac Hayes son, and uses a Beastie Boys sample. Man, I swear music is just comin full circle but anyway here's the kicker. After it's release just a little over a month ago on Myspace, as the Ying Yang Twins used the net before they offcialled decided on it to be a single or not, the song has been played over 30 million times! Very close to a Myspace record. Whether the song is hot or not, somebody likes it. Is this the year of the Ying Yang Twins? Their album, "2 Live Crew," a nod to the original Two Live Crew drops later this year.

LUDA's NEW MOVIE - MAX PAYNE

As a former game junkie, I can tell you that I played the hell out of this game when it came out a couple of years ago. We'll see how well the movie actually turns out. Mark Wahlberg is slated to play Max Payne, a NYPD officer whose family was murdered in cold blood as a part of a government conspiracy. The movie is scheduled to be released on October 17th.

SUGE KNIGHT - UNFINISHED BUSINESS TV SHOW

For those of you that don't know about this guy, he is the founder of Death Row Records (Dr. Dre Snoop Doggy Dogg, etc.) and he is probably the last person on the planet I want to personally meet. BYNUM GOES TO COURT.....TV????

What up ya'll!!!!!!????? Been gone for a minute ill but I'm back. Enough excuses. Let's get right to it. If ya'll didn't catch it a few days ago, ya girl Prophetess Dr. Juanita Bynum was on...get this DIVORCE COURT!!!! Now just when I said I couldn't be surprised by any outcome from this story, I must admit I'm definitely shocked that she went down this avenue. These are all my views before watching the clip. But I will say it was done tastefully.....Just sayin.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!

Something that bothered me immensely!!!! Ya'll like that S.A.T. word.lol Was that she said she didn't commit suicide because of her last name "Bynum"? What happened to "I didn't commit suicide because I'll go straight to hell?!?!?!" Or somethin along those lines.lol I think she is truly playin into this media life a bit too much. R&N 4/25/08 - MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE

WILL IT EVER STOP??

I know that this is supposed to my Flashback Friday post, but under the conditions of what has happened today, I can't bring myself to do it. When there are matters that concern the American people and its communities , it needs to be addressed in every forum possible to get the word out. If you don't already know, the three officers that were on trial for the murder of 23-year old Queens resident, Sean Bell, have been acquitted on all charges during the trial- without-jury today . The police officers, who were in plain clothes at the time of the shooting, shot and killed Bell outside of a club where he and a few friends were celebrating for his bachelor party by unloading a total of 50 bullets (31 bullets by one officer alone) into his vehicle on the night of Nov. 25, 2006. Bell was unarmed at the time of the shooting, and he was to be married the next day. The fact that this is 2008 and the justice system is still able to overlook the glaring facts that are presented is disgusting. It's so sad that some things never change. I advise everyone to get more involved in your communities and to educate yourself about the law. Know your rights!!This happens way too many times. Man, we can't let this story fade away by doing nothing about it because once that occurs, we take ourselves back to square one to let it all happen again.

Nas, as he said previously, that the album title is driven artistically and not as a ploy to create attention in order to sale records. Bobby Valentino Leaves Disturbing The PeaceBobby V, DTP's first R&B signing has departed ways with Ludacris's Disturbing The Peace imprint and has gone the independent route. I look at this as my going off to college. It was time for me to step out on my own and show the world who Bobby Valentino, the artist really is." Yeah, I think it's a wrap for this child. Steve Miller Band is touring, that's right, so "fly like an eagle" get your money ready and buy your tickets fast. From The Fillmore to Dallas Texas on May 30,2008 at the Super Pages Center, all the way to New York. One hell of a performer, and one hell of a show is all that the lucky one's have seen them can say. Life would not be the same without such music, hey I love this thing called Rock-N-Roll and wouldn't miss the Steve Miller Band for anything. Check out the upcoming Tour dates starting late May.

FLASHBACK SOUTHERN CITY TOUR - HOUSTON

Whats going people, it's your boy DT and I'm back again with another edition of Flashback Friday. We're continuing the next stop of the Southern City Tour in H-Town. Today I'm showcasing the tracks that put Texas on the map before Mike Jones and The Swishahouse. [Of course I have nothing against the SwishaHouse members, I'll spotlight them at a later date.] The music coming out of Texas had more of a blues style to it back in the day, with a lot of church organs and bass guitars. It was a differnt sound that we had all to ourselves, and we liked it like that. They're were so many artists that I wanted to post, but I had to cut it off somewhere. So lets get into the music!!!

SCARFACE AND THE GETO BOYSMY MIND'S PLAYING TRICKS ON ME (1989)

This is the track that made people take a serious look at the rap culture in Texas

Easily my favorite rap group of all time. Nearly every track in they're catalog is timeless. Super Tight came out in '94 and that CD still jams to this day. Ridin Dirty was the CD that put the group in the legendary category and that was back in '96, but it wasn't until 2007 that the group had a number one album.

The video is shot documentary style and pieces together footage from their tour so far. Enjoy. R. Kelly's New Hair Now I was just gonna post on R. Kelly's new joint, Hairbraider, then when I found out what his hairbraider actually did to his hair, I had to show yall. Now I don't know bout you, but the man has got to be going to jail soon if he doin' crazy stuff like that. The song jam, and it's classic Kels, that we've been accustomed to lately, not vintage Kels of Bump N Grind, Seems Like You Ready. Either way the song's tight, that is you're not tired of Kels doin' the same ol thing...which I guess is what he was trying to avoid with his hair looking like that. Anyway, here go the track.

Chilli Still Loves Usher?
Watch out now, according to blogstress Necole Bitchie, when she caught up with Chilli out in Atlanta she had this to say about the one who use to have it bad for her:

"Usher is the one that I truly did love," she said. "Like that was truly my first adult love. I love him very much and I will always love him. I don't know how you love someone that deeply and just stop loving them. I'm not in love with him anymore but I can't say that I don't love him anymore. And of course I do want him to be happy and all but me and him had what I never had in any of my other relationships, and that was chemistry."

Now you know Tameka jumping up and down somewhere just waiting to run into Chilli somewhere in Atlanta. That would be a sight to see. Although my girl wouldn't even have a chance with Blanka. In the interview, Chilli also says another one that got away was Marlon Wayans! Yeah I kno right, apparently they dated back when they were 20, but she felt like he was too good, and wanted a "bad" guy. It look like Chilli just need a guy period.


Alicia Keys Under Fire After Conspiracy CommentsMy wifey has been catching some flack for recent comments that she made in an interview with Blender magazine. The magazine quoted her as saying, and I'm just paraphrasing, that she believed Gangsta Rap was made up by the government as a ploy in order to get black folks to kill each other, and the government and media made it bigger than what it was. Now I agree with her on that, with how the media blew the whole East Coast vs. West Coast out of proportion when it was goin' down, but the government stuff? Don't know about that ma. And that's exactly what she went on Ryan Seacrest:On Air to clean up what she said. A keys tells the listeners, she was misquoted and mistaken, and clarify her comments, which when you hear it makes a lot more sense. These media people just try taking everybody down don't they. Freekey Zeekey Escapes From Near Fatal Car Crash New has just surfaced on Dispet representative, Freekey Zekey's near fatal car crash which occured last night, April 15th. Story is, Zekey was sitting in his 2007 White S550 Benz at a stop light when he was struck from the rear causing both Zeke and the passenger to be ejected through the windshield and on a Hummer that was parked in front of them. Both were rushed to the hospital but were later released with minor injuries. Freekey Zekey had just left the studio where he was working on his sophomore set due out this fall on Asylum Records. MF 3.0 glad he's ok, and tellin' everybody to buckle up.
