Ruff Ryders - Ridin' Dirty


One of the co-CEO's of RuffRyders got pulled over and arrested for having a loaded .45 and 3 pounds of coke in a trick compartment in his SUV. Yea, Ruff Ryders fell off, but I guess times are pretty hard right now... I really used to be a loyal Ryde or Die type for the label (back in da day, aka Vol. 1), but they need a marketing push, for real.

Darrin Dean was indicted on drug charges August 29th in New Jersey and is facing up to 20 years in prison. Dean was freed on $342,500 bail.

Sean Kingston - NOT B.I.G. Yet?


Producers of the new B.I.G. movie are denying that my boy, Sean Kingston does not "officially" have the part yet...

My View: He was the best pick so far, but they aren't ruling out somebody else. I wonder if Guerilla Black auditioned... He hasn't put out music in a while...

Anywayz, she's going to be on Dancing With The Stars next season. That will really boost her career, don't ya think? I think she'll do good. Long as she does better than Master P. :-p

Foxy Brown - In Jail & Pregnant!


Now, I know I really didn't talk about how Foxy Brown went to Africa earlier this year... And I know I didn't talk about how she went to jail. But It's finally has to come to light that she's in Rikers (Rikers Island) & PREGNANT... She got sent there for aggregate traffic violations and assault. Guess Remy Ma is doin' a lil' better than that.

Diddy has FINALLY made his group. It now consists of Robert, Willie, Qwanell, Big Mike, and Brian A. Diddy gave Donnie a solo deal. This is gonna be interesting. Let's hope this group has better luck than the rest of his groups. None of his other groups have gone platinum yet...

TI is reportedly gonna be in a movie with Danny Glover called "Once Was Lost". The storyline seems to be that TI's best friend gets killed, and he's gonna take a lil' road trip with Danny Glover from Harlem to Mississippi to get revenge... It should be comin' out in '08. I'm convinced... Bill O'Reilly is officially a hater... First Ludacris, now Nas of all people. Virginia Tech is gonna have a concert featuring Nas for the students coming back this semester, and he feels that Nas is a "gangsta rapper". After doing "I Can", "If I Ruled The World", and "Rule" ft. Amerie (go peep that song online), he's been categorized for gangsta rap...

Tell that man to stop harassing his secretary and asking for lewd favors, then maybe Nas will stop doing "gangster rap"...

Method Man - Ironic Sentence


Method Man was pulled over for having an expired tag... Police caught him with 28 grams of marijuana, while he was smoking it in the car... So he got a ridiculous amount of fines for it. His sentence: he will join New York's Choices and Consequence program as part of his community service.

What else: He's got to create raps for children, warning about the dangers of drug use. :-p Gotta love that irony.

You know, 50 should really be payin' me in Vitamin Water, either the drink itself (tastes pretty good) or a percentage of the proceeds he got from the company... Anyway, like I said yesterday, he's pretty steamed about his video with Robin Thicke getting leaked... which is hilarious... We all know audio tracks get leaked all the time, but how do you let a music video get leaked?! Before it even airs, at that?

He has a new mixtape track out, kinda dissing his boss, Jimmy Iovine of Interscope. He was like "I'm from south side Queens, i ain't got no f%^%# boss!"... I ain't puttin' no more news out on ya until I get some of that Vitamin Water, Fif.

What's up with all these artists going to Koch records??.. My theory... they don't sell so hot (platinum plus), so they go to Koch for more bucks... Ehh... it makes sense... Y'all remember "Trapped In The Closet", right? R. Kelly's mini soap opera/song... Well, it's coming out in its entirety. From Chapter 1 - 22 on IFC (Independent Film Channel). Hmm... I actually got a kick out of 1-12... Are you ready for 13-22... or has R. Kelly's saga run its course... It's will be in stores next week.

And one part each day starting August 13th. Well, at least the saga will finally be over... Here's the character map someone chalked out: (Musta been bored, lol.)

Wow... Hey folks, been on a "lil" break and look what happens?!

I actually been listening to Nivea's "Complicated" album (classic teen album, by the way) and my favorite song on it was "I Can't Mess With You" ft. The Dream... Tonight, i find out that Nivea and that dude have been married for 3 years! And the guy just got signed to Def Jam as an artist! Oh yea, did I mention he wrote "Umbrella"?! More on that later...

New Biggie Movie - They are looking for someone to play Biggie in a personal story of his life... which I hope will be dope. Tupac ain't the only great rapper. (Biggie and 'Pac were BOTH born in Brooklyn, by the way).

Fugees - Lauryn Killing Reunion?


It's rumored that Lauryn seems to be killing the whole reunion. She's wanting to produce tracks for the group now. That's not flying with 'Clef, though. The production has been mostly Wyclef doin' the beats, but now Lauryn is trying to break the format.

Wyclef tells interviewer:

"We did a remix [with] Lauryn for John Legend, for the record “How High.” John Legend was saying our names. You know what she had [him] do? She was like, “Take off Wyclef and Jerry’s names.” Because she wanted people to think that she was the one doing the beat…I’m a producer and I’m a beatmaker with my cousin Jerry Wonder, and I’m a writer. Turk of Cash Money Records has been in jail for 3 years now, after plain clothes cops busted into his apartment, reportedly not identifying themselves as police. Needless to say, a gun battle had drawn and left his apartment looking like swiss cheese. He'll be released in November.
